Alpine Linux

There are several different Alpine versions available. Docker images should probably be based on the Mini Root Filesystem version; Minimal servers should probably be based on the standard ISO, but check the descriptions.

Once the installation disk boots up, a passwordless root user will be available. Also available will be a setup-alpine script which will allow for a diskless (ram) data (ram, with disked swap) or sys (‘standard’ install) types of installation.
